Webinar Series

The PEI Watershed Alliance is hosting a variety of webinars this Fall/Winter. The overall theme is “Shorelines and Climate Adaptation“, however, different experts have been invited to present their work to watershed groups and the community.

The first webinar was held on November 23, 2021 by Hope Parnham and Peter Nishimura, PEI Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action. The PEI Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action (EECA) launched a new Coastal Hazards Information Platform (CHIP).

CHIP is an interactive map intended to help PEI municipalities, professionals, and organizations assess their vulnerability to coastal hazards and to take appropriate actions to prepare for climate change. Our new online services also include free property-specific Coastal Hazard Assessments, technical information for planning and design professionals, and a free online course on practical actions people can take to reduce the vulnerability of their home.  You can view all four of our new online services here: princeedwardisland.ca/coastalhazards

The next webinar will be on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 10:00 am. The expert presenting is Patrick LeClair, Atlantic DataStream.
