Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation and a Master’s Degree in Fisheries Resource Management from the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland. Heather has served as the Executive Director of the PEI Watershed Alliance since 2022, having worked her way through school as a wildlife technician on the South Shore of Prince Edward Island. Heather previously worked in management in the private sector in New York City and the greater Detroit Area. Her passion for animals and their habitat motivates her to spend as much time outside biking, kayaking, and hiking. She sits on many environmental committees and volunteers her free time to those causes.
Charlotte grew up in Charlottetown, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Music Performance and Philosophy before pivoting to focus on conservation and work with watershed groups on PEI. In her graduate studies, Charlotte focused on watersheds, wetlands, and forest management and obtained her Masters in Resource and Environmental Management in 2021. She spends her off time taking care of an abundance of houseplants, biking, and spending time with friends.
Kassidy was born and raised in Charlottetown, where she also studied at Holland College to become an accredited Wildlife Conservation Technician. Kassidy has a strong passion for forest ecology and loves to practice her plant ID skills out on walks with her three dogs. She has a special interest in invasive species management and growing native plants from seed.
Born in Prince Edward Island, Rebecca Ramos grew up in Summerside and moved to Charlottetown to study Environmental Applied Science Technology at Holland College. She has always had a strong interest in nurturing animals, the natural environment and habitat enhancement. Rebecca's hobbies include spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking with her dog (sometimes cats depending on the weather), cooking and listening to podcasts after a long day.
Born and raised in the beautiful islands of The Bahamas, Nathan LaCroix is a passionate, energetic and self-driven leader who is enthusiastic about PEI's natural environment. He came to Prince Edward Island in 2018 to pursue tertiary-level education at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Business Administration.
Originally from Mexico, Melissa came to the Island in 2021 to pursue her bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with specialization in Innovation and Change Management, and with minors in Sociology and Anthropology. She loves music, nature photography, beading, and hiking with her little dog Toby.
