TREC launches Landowner Information Guide

Trout River Environmental Committee has launched a new website to help landowners find all the information they need on environmental issues. The website covers many diverse topics, including forest management, bat protection, domestic water treatment systems, fishing licenses, invasive plants, climate change, and boating rules.

The new website, at www.troutriverec.ca/landowner-information, was funded by the PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund, and it works well on a tablet or phone.

The website contains a wealth of information on our environment and what you can do to help, and the programs and services out there to help you. You can access the site on your phone, so keep it bookmarked because it is full of useful phone numbers and links. They hope to produce a printed version soon.

If you spot any errors or if you have information that they might want to add to the landowner guide, please do let them know.

Trout River Environmental Committee is a community watershed group that works to restore and conserve the natural integrity of nine watersheds and to promote good environmental stewardship. They operate in the Stanley Bridge to the Cavendish area of North Central PEI.
